Crescent Falls, David Thompson Country
Two things that we’ve come to realize matter a lot to us is expanding the adventures available in Central Alberta for our guests and raising awareness locally about how amazing our backyard is.
Back in 2014 we pitched Tourism Red Deer with the idea of taking their product knowledge session on the road, getting tourism and hospitality staff to get some first hand experience on the activities they recommend to their guests. Over the past 5 years the tours have changed a lot, from Experience Experts to Showcase, from listing tours where we visited 12 operators in 4 hours to a slower pace where we get to experience what each operator has to offer.
Unfortunately the grant that made it possible for Tourism Red Deer to support these tours and allowed us to offer them at a subsidized rate has expired. We’re working on some ideas to bring them back for 2020 but in the meantime we’ll continue to offer familiarization tours for our adventures and the places we visit. Check the calendar below to see what we have coming up.
If you would like to work together to grow the destination, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. You can find out more about what we’re working on at explorecentralalberta.ca/working-together.

On each of the tours you’ll get to experience some of the best Central Alberta has to offer. We’ll get our hands dirty, taste amazing food, play outside and learn more about all the exciting adventures that await your guests.
