Adventure is found wherever you look. It can be complicated or simple, expensive or cheap, far away or close to home. After all, adventure is about keeping an open mind, stepping outside of your comfort zone and having the curiosity to explore your surroundings.
Sometimes you just need to get outside…
Danielle was away this week which meant the kids were spending most of their time between the office and Cool Beans next door (there’s just something about a double decker bus that the kids love). That usually wouldn’t be an issue, but with all the rain we had this past week we were all starting to go a little stir crazy.
One of the benefits of working on our new site, explorecentralalberta.ca, has been visiting many local attractions this summer. Most of those adventures have been with the kids but earlier in the week I decided to head out to Allstones Lake for the day.
While searching for our next stop on our family adventure across Central Alberta, I came across a poster for the Red Deer County Enterprising Ag Tour. While I couldn’t find much information about the tour, I was intrigued and decided to check it out for myself.
Westerner Days kicked off with the annual parade this past Wednesday. It’s always great to see the streets lined up with so many people celebrating groups, organizations and local businesses.
