Winter is a unique season to play outside, not only are temperatures low, but the mountains can have some of the quickest weather changes you’ll ever experience. Packing for the day can be a daunting task so we thought we would share a few of our favorite tips.
Sometimes the difference between a great day and a good day is all in the clothes! Layering is the name of game for a day outside in the snow. Starting at the base layer and moving outwards, layers can be easily added and removed for comfort in any weather. With so many different brands, styles and materials available the best advice is to find what fits you best.
Last weekend was quite busy as we started our project of exploring as much of Central Alberta as possible this summer (find out more about our plans here). Once we got the kids to bed on Monday night I decided to learn more about photographing fireworks. So I quickly made sure that the memory cards had been cleared from the day’s adventures, excited by this last minute challenge.
