We’re an independent, locally owned tour company established in 2010 and based in Red Deer, Alberta.

Our goal is to inspire you to play outside, explore the places we love and experience the activities we’re passionate about. Whether it’s a winter sightseeing tour exploring the ice bubbles of Abraham Lake, heading out on a day hike away from the crowds or spending an evening snowshoeing under the stars, we’re here to help you find your adventure.

As far as we’re concerned, food is part of all great outdoor adventures. It keeps us fueled on the trail, helps us slow down to enjoy the moment over lunch, and gives us an excuse to get together and share the memories we’ve made along the way. That’s why we include great local food in everything we do, from the tours to our new Basecamp + Cafe in Capstone at Riverlands on the edge of downtown Red Deer and Waskasoo Park.

Because adventure is found wherever you look…
We launched in 2010 offering a ski bus from Red Deer to the mountains and multi-day ski trips. During the summer of 2012 we added guided day hikes to our tours and in the winter of 2013 we started to offer guided snowshoe tours in the Abraham Lake area. We tried a few other tour ideas over the years but as we grew we became more focused on the activities and places we’re truly passionate about.

Across all the activities and tours we offer, our goal has always been the same: to create memorable experiences. Anybody can go hiking, snowshoeing or sightseeing. Our tours go beyond that, from the stories shared by the guides to the cup of hot chocolate waiting for you at the bus after a day of skiing, we look after the details so that you can spend your day enjoying your adventure.

In the fall of 2013 we moved into our first office. A 100 square foot building we built on an empty lot in Downtown Red Deer, next to Traptow’s Cool Beans, a double decker bus converted into a coffee shop. The little blue building was a fun place to work but by 2016 we needed more space and we moved into the Tourism Red Deer Visitor Information Centre. In November of 2017 we moved once again, to a bigger space in Capstone at Riverlands. Our Basecamp + Cafe allows us to bring everything we do under one roof.

The Basecamp + Cafe includes parts of each of our previous locations, like our original booking desk and ice pop carts.

Food has been part of all our tours since the beginning. In 2015 we went through the required steps to obtain our food handling permit, allowing us to have better control over the lunches and snacks we serve on tours. We make our food from scratch, using some of our favourite ingredients and featuring local products whenever possible.

Since 2015 we’ve sold our ice pops, hot chocolate mix and handmade marshmallows at markets throughout Central Alberta. All of these, along with our sandwiches and soups are now available daily at our Basecamp + Cafe.

Our Core Values

We strive for excellence in everything we do, every time we do it. Excellence is going above and beyond what is required to ensure that the small details are taken care of. It means doing something exceptionally well rather than just well enough.

We strive for the exceptional. To merely improve on what has already been done is not enough. We look for innovative way of doing things. We offer the unusal and the extraordinary and strive to redefine what can be expected.

We strive to be outstanding. All aspects of what we do is memorable. After all, we are in the business of creating memories.

We are focused on our passions. Our adventures are not for everybody. We only offer adventures and activities that we are passionate about.
